GOP decides a caucus is best

I have tried not to make any public comments about this issue as I feel its a settled issue, but the DNJ seems to keep pressing and I think its time the side that won the argument within the Rutherford county GOP speak up.
A brief reason for this decision is the same I posted in the comments of an editorial that ran in today's DNJ.
You can read the article here.

My comments to the post are the following:

The real issue here is that the democratic party has left its base here in Rutherford county so dems will face an uphill battle to be elected here unless dems crossover and vote for weaker candidates in primary elections.
Another issue that has not been represented in this thread is the effect money plays in elections. A caucus is much cheaper on candidates, so it is possible for someone to not have to be bought and paid for in order to win a party nomination. I am for the best candidate and not who has made friends with the good ole boys with all the money. A caucus allows for this.
There are countless other reasons why a caucus in our county makes sense, but ultimately parties deserve the right to protect their selection of candidates that represent them in the general election, and then the public is free to select whom they deem to be best for the job.  I would rather have candidates selected with that in mind, “who’s best for the job” and not who has the most money to win a primary.

Finally if you'd like to discuss this issue any further I'm always interested in hearing other people's comments, as I am quite young and still very interested in learning. I care for more about doing what is right, rather than just doing what I want.
